This Privacy Policy governs the Dinnect Business web-based platform (“Service”), provided by Dinnect Ltd., a company incorporated in Estonia. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how we handle your business and personal data. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and share data from business users to deliver a platform for creating profiles, publishing menus, managing franchises, and driving foot traffic through the Dinnect app. Our consumer mobile app is governed by a separate Privacy Policy.

Data We Collect

  • Business Profile Data: Business name, ID, verification status (Verified/Unverified), category/type (e.g., restaurant, cafe), working hours, website, phone, address, and services (e.g., seating types, payment methods, special services, ambiance, music/entertainment, service style, cultural preferences, parking options, accessibility, smoking policy). 
  • Location Data: Business address and settings for map visibility or road tracking to guide Dinnect app users to your location.
  • Menu Data: Menu item details, including prices, ingredients, descriptions, and photos. 
  • Franchise Data: Profile, menu, services, and location data for each franchise page under your parent account. 
  • User Data: Details of authorized employees managing the account, such as names, work emails, and job titles. 
  • Usage Data: Information on how you engage with the Service, such as profile updates, menu changes, campaign performance, or analytics viewed.
  • Technical Data: IP addresses, browser types, device information, and cookies for authentication, security, and analytics.

If you upload additional data (e.g., customer lists for ad targeting), we collect it only as instructed by you.

We use your data to: 

  • Provide core features, such as creating/managing profiles, menus, and franchise pages, and enabling location visibility in the Dinnect app. 
  • Promote your business through tailored ads, sponsored listings, or map features in the Dinnect app, based on profile, menu, and location data.  
  • Enhance functionality by analyzing usage data to improve the Service or suggest optimizations.   
  • Conduct market research using anonymized/aggregated data to identify trends (e.g., dining preferences by region).   
  • Communicate updates, support, or promotional offers.     
  • Ensure safety and compliance by detecting misuse or protecting the Service and users.    

Legal Basis for Processing

We process data under:

  • Contractual Necessity: To provide the Service (e.g., profile management, menu publishing).
  • Consent: For marketing, premium features (e.g., promoted listings), or sharing anonymized data with third parties.  
  • Franchise Data: Profile, menu, services, and location data for each franchise page under your parent account.   
  • User Data: Details of authorized employees managing the account, such as names, work emails, and job titles.    

Who We Share Your Data With

We share data only as necessary:

  • Service Providers: Trusted partners for hosting, analytics, payment processing, or technical support, bound by GDPR-compliant data processing agreements. 
  • Dinnect App Users: Profile, menu, and location data (e.g., business name, address, menu items) are displayed to users to drive foot traffic, as per your settings.   
  • Marketing Partners: With your consent, we share anonymized/aggregated data (e.g., dining trends, business categories) with third parties for market research or marketing purposes, ensuring no personal or identifiable business data is disclosed.    
  • User Data: Details of authorized employees managing the account, such as names, work emails, and job titles.    

If you upload customer data (e.g., for ad targeting), we process it only as your data processor under a GDPR-compliant agreement. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Your Rights

You have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of your business or user data. 
  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate details.   
  • Deletion: Request deletion, subject to legal exceptions (e.g., tax records).   
  • Objection: Object to specific uses, such as marketing or analytics.  
  • Portability: Request data in a machine-readable format.  

Contact us at privacy@dinnect.com to exercise these rights. You can manage settings (e.g., disable map visibility, opt out of marketing or data sharing) in the Service. We respond promptly, per GDPR and CCPA.

Data Security

We use industry-standard measures—encryption for data in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security assessments—to protect your data. Data is stored on secure EU servers, with international transfers (e.g., to the US) using GDPR-compliant safeguards like Standard Contractual Clauses. Access is limited to authorized personnel. No system is immune to all risks, but we strive to ensure security.

We retain data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with laws, or resolve disputes. You may request deletion, subject to legal obligations.
